AMATEUR & PRO ATHLETE CRITERIA
FIGURE DIVISIONS (Tested)Novice*, U30, O30, O40, O50, Open, Pro.Novice athletes may continue entering Novice until they win 1st place.
FIGURE ATHLETICA (Non-Tested) Open Division.Open to ALL athletes from ANY federation.
OVERALL WINNERS may be awarded a Pro Card (QLD only).
STATE WINNERS receive Elite Amateur Status.
DIVISION ELIGIBILITYWhen entering the Figure category, athletes must select the division that best reflects their experience, eligibility, and competitive history. This ensures fairness and upholds the intregity of the Event.Tested Divisions - Drug testing will be conducted for all Tested categories. Athletes must fully comply with all testing requirements.
JUDGING CRITERIA Athletes should display:Full, developed muscle mass across all areas of the body.A strong, athletic level of muscular maturity. CONDITIONPhysiques should present: Lean, clear separation between all major muscle groupsVisible definition in:AbsShouldersArmsBackQuadsHamstringsGlutesCalvesAcceptable: Striations and separations throughout muscle groups except in the glutes COMPULSORY POSESFigure athletes must perform the following mandatory poses:Front Double Bicep – Hips facing frontSide Chest – Either sideSide Tricep – Either sideRear Double Bicep – Spike one calfAbdominal & Thigh SYMMETRY The physique must show:Balanced development between upper and lower body.Chest/shoulder/arm/back development matching glute/quad/hamstring/calf development.Balanced left-to-right, and balanced front-to-back.Judged with 4 x Quarter Turns. POSINGPosing execution is a critical element of scoring. Athletes must:Know their mandatory poses confidently.Practice regularly to ensure polished transitions and posture.Maintain open hands (not clenched).Present with confidence and a smile. STAGE ATTIRE REQUIREMENTS A two-piece Figure bikini must be worn.Style can range from minimal embellishment to full bling.Must reflect the professional standard of the Figure division.
OPTIONAL FREE POSING ROUTINE Athletes may submit an optional 60-second individual routine.Music must be submitted 5 days prior in MP3 format.Email to: david@msfitnessaustralia.com.au

- CONDITION REQUIREMENTS
- Muscularity is still assessed.
- Abdominals are not judged due to the one-piece suit.
- Separation in shoulders, arms, quads, hamstrings.
- Some acceptable striations (e.g., chest).
- Acceptable: Striations and separations throughout muscle groups except in the glutes
- SYMMETRY REQUIREMENTS
- Balanced development between all muscle groups.
- Chest/shoulder/arm/back development equally matched with glutes/quads/hamstrings/calves
- Left side should match right, and front should match back.
- STAGE ATTIRE REQUIREMENTS
- Judged in a One-Piece Figure posing suit.
- High heels must be worn.
- Suit must include:
- High-cut leg line.
- Cross-over straps at the back.
- Crystals, stones, and embellishments are allowed.
- STAGE WALK REQUIREMENTS
- Enter from side stage → walk to rear centre and hold a pose.
- Walk to front centre → assume a relaxed pose.
- Judges will call two poses:
- Front Double Bicep (one thigh shown, hips forward, one leg extended to the side, open hands)
- Rear Double Bicep (one calf spike, open hands).
- Present a relaxed pose.
- Exit the stage.
- Followed by group QTR turn comparisons
- Finishing with Front & Rear Double Bicep
- FIGURE CLASSIQUE IS A OPTIONAL CATEGORY.
